The Honda Civic works like a symphony in motion. To prove it, we created Civic Sounds – an interactive DJ platform that allowed people to mix together hundreds of sounds from the Civic to make hot tracks. Bluejuice composed the first Civic Sounds track to inspire others to compose their own. People’s tracks were recorded, hosted on SoundCloud and a film clip based around the Civic automatically generated based on the track’s unique algorithm. Time spent on the Civic webpage more than tripled, 10,000 hours of music was created and $1.8 million in earned media was generated.
